4/207 Stable block circa 10 metres west
- of Warkleigh House

GV II

Stable block. 1844. Unrendered stone rubble. Slate roofs with gable ends.
Axial stack to left-hand range.
Plan: 3-sided courtyard plan with carriage-house, tack room and stables with loft
over to left side, open-fronted cart shed with loft over to rear side and store-
sheds and stables to right side, with gatepiers and flanking walls to front.
Left side has 2 large plank doors to cart-sheds. Gabled dormers to loft doors to
centre of left and rear sides. The short projecting gables to rear left side have
large blind loops above 2-light diamond leaded windows. Similar blind loop to
gabled projection to rear of open-fronted cart-shed.
Interior. Stable fittings largely intact.
