Description

SS 62 SE SATTERLIEGH AND
WARKLEIGH
4/185 The Nook
-
- II

Cottage. Probably C18, and probably divided into 2 occupations when extended at rear
in late C19, reverting to single occupation in C20. Painted rendered stone rubble
and cob. Pantiled roof with gable ends. Gable end stone rubble stacks with slate-
capped bread oven projections.
2-room plan cottage with adjacent doorways giving direct entry into each room, and 2
adjoining gable-ended 2-storey rear service wings added in late C19 containing
staircases.
2 storeys. 3-window range. 2 C20 2-light casements and C19 2-light basement 6
panes per light at right end. Ground floor has 2-light 6-paned casement to left and
4-paned window to right of C20 leanto porch with 2 plank inner doors.
Brief interior inspection suggested largely unspoilt C19 fittings intact.
