Designed as a pair circa 1820-30, 3 storeys attic and basement, red brick, mansard
slate roof with wooden moulded frieze and cornice. Symmetrical front, 4 windows,
recessed sashes, flat stucco arches, glazing bars intact. Paired entrances with
4 panel doors, rectangular fanlights under double central porch of 3 Greek Doric
colunms and pilasters to wall, entablature with projecting cornice. Flight of
steps up to doors with railings returned along areas.

All the listed buildings on the East Side, from Nos 31 to 115 (odd), including
Gibson's Hotel, form a group.
