Circa 1820-30. 3 storeys attic and basement, a row of red brick and grey header
houses, Stone sill courses to ground and 1st floors, moulded wood frieze cornice
and slate mansard roof. Each house has one dormer, and 2 windows to upper floor,
4 pane sashes to left 3 panes to right over door, one 4 pane sash ground floor.
Doors of 6 fielded panels with 2-pane fanlights in modified Greek Doric doorcases
of fluted engaged columns and entablature, that of No 79 replaced by window as
it forms one house with No 81. Flights of steps up to entrances with Victorian
railings.

All the listed buildings on the East Side, from nos 31 to 115 (odd), including
Gibson's Hotel, form a group.
