House. Late C18, altered and extended mid-late C20. Brick,
timber-framing and weatherboarding, with brick ridge stack
behind the ridge.
PLAN: 2-room parallel plan with rear single-storey ranges.
EXTERIOR: 2 storeys; 3-window range. Double-fronted with a C20
door, 8/8-pane ground-floor and 6/6-pane first-floor sashes in
exposed frames. Left-hand return has a ground-floor 8/8-pane
sash and a small first-floor casement. Mid C20 rear extensions
without special interest.
INTERIOR: contains a lobby to an early C19 dogleg stair with
stick balusters, curtails each side with decorative cast-iron
newel and a wreathed rail; the stack is set behind the stair.
HISTORY: originally partly connected with No.143 (qv), and a
cill and wall plate extend across.
