Formerly Westair.
Dated 1877. Stone house in free, Gothic style. 2 main storeys plus another
with gables and stone dormers to hipped slated roof. Various mullioned and
transomed windows and oriels. Entrance with stone hood at either side. Single
storeyed replacement of original rear wing - of no interest. Front area with
incomplete balustrade, piers etc. Built as his own residence by J E Wainhouse,
builder of nearby tower and a local character of some interest.
