"The Highlight" is a monument built in memory to all those who lost their lives at sea and dates back to 1839. It was initially situated in the Longhill area of Hartlepool - known to many, of a certain age, as Wagga. The Highlight was moved from its original site, at the Vulcan Materials Company in the town's Windermere Road some years ago, when Hartlepool Marina was built. It now stands overlooking the Marina on a road called The Highlight.
