Farmhouse. Core possibly of late C17/early C18, enlarged to front
to form L-shape, with small later C18 range in angle and C19 range
set back to south east. Roughcast faced on rendered plinth,
sprocketed and hipped stone slate roof, scattered stone stacks
including large right end stack to angle range. L-shape range of
2 storeys and attic, angle range of 2 storeys, with single storey
L-shape painted brick lean-to to rear. Front has 5 bays, three
12-pane sashes with blocked former openings between to first floor,
4 similar windows on ground floor with central door of 6 bolection
moulded panels and decorative large transom light. Two C19 gables
with dormers with 6-pane sashes over bays 2 and 4, and 2 similar
dormers to left hand return which otherwise has paired 8-pane
casements. Rear wall of this wing has one chamfered 2-light stone
mullion and transom remaining on first floor. Angle wing has 2
original small-leaded large casement pairs. Raking C19 porch in
brick on left hand return. Interior not inspected but said to
contain panelled rooms and likely to be of interest.
