Pair of weavers' cottages. Early/mid C18. Limestone rubble,
squared and coursed to the facade, freestone quoins and
architraves, continuous double-Roman tile roof, stone stacks
to gable ends. Each cottage one-unit plan, with C20 left wing.
EXTERIOR: 3 storeys; originally symmetrical 2-window range
(now 3). Blind windows to the party wall, that to the 1st
floor with a segmental arch; a continuous hoodmould on shaped
brackets over paired C19 4-panel doors, flanked by C20 2-light
casements in original stone-mullioned windows except to the
ground-floor right which has a 3-rows-of 5-panes early C19
shop window. C20 left wing to No.80 is similar, only 2
storeys.
