House, later hotel, now 3 flats. c1860, subdivided in late
C20: balcony ironwork replaced in C20. Rendered and
whitewashed brick with hipped slate roof without stacks, and
cast-iron balcony.
EXTERIOR: 3-storey 4-window front. At left of centre, square
porch with half-glazed door projects. At left and right ends
are canted bay windows fitted with horned sashes with 6/6,
8/8, 6/6 glazing bars. To right of door is an 8/8 unhorned
sash window recessed beneath continuous first floor balcony
carried on bay windows and porch. Three French windows open
onto balcony, the third bay occupied by an 8/8 unhorned sash.
Second floor has three 4/8 unhorned sashes and one 3/6
unhorned sash to extreme right.
Rear: mixed sashes and casements, saw-toothed eaves cornice
and a C20 galvanized steel fire escape.
INTERIOR: ground-floor doors are 6-panelled and set within
reeded surrounds. Staircase removed.
