Offices. c1870. Brick with ashlar and granite dressings and
hipped slate roof with single gable, ridge and side wall
stacks, all coped. Plinth, banded ground floor, string course,
moulded sillbands, bracketed wooden eaves cornice. 3 storeys;
5 window range. 5 plain sashes, the central one with moulded
surround and cornice, and above, 5 similar slightly smaller
windows with segmental heads. Ground floor has round-arched
polychrome openings with hoodmoulds and impost band. Central
barrel vaulted carriage entrance with square granite piers,
and roundels in the spandrels. On either side, 2 plain sashes
with panelled aprons. Rounded corner, to left, has a full
height recessed blank panel. Left return has similar
fenestration to the front, with a round-headed panelled door
and blank fanlight to the right. INTERIOR not inspected.
