House. Late C18, altered mid C19. Squared, coursed limestone
with ashlar dressings, ashlar gable stacks and a slate roof.
Double-depth plan.
2 storeys and attic; symmetrical 3-window range.
Double-fronted with pilasters, frieze, cornice and blocking
course, with coped gables and moulded stacks; late C19 ashlar
porch has cornice and blocking course and a round-arched
doorway with keys and 2-panel door, flanked by 2-light ashlar
bays with 2-light casements. First-floor 8/8-pane and central
6/6-pane sashes, with 2 gabled dormers with horizontal sliding
6/6-pane sashes. Rear has a narrow gabled extension over the
stair.
INTERIOR: details include a through hall divided by a
segmental arch to a rear open-well stair with curtail and
stick balusters; stone fireplaces with reeded surrounds and
roundels.
SUBSIDIARY FEATURES: attached side garden walls, E stables
with double gates, and NW rear single-storey service range, in
similar materials.
