Hotel, formerly a house. Early C19. Extensive late C20
extensions to rear. Gault brick facade. Slate and concrete
tile roofs. Facade of 2 storeys; 4-window range in all. Plain
block to left with one first-floor 6/6 unhorned sash matched
by a blind window to its left. Low parapet with a stack hiding
a shallow hipped roof. To right is a 2-storey block with a
full-height bow window fitted with two 8/8 unhorned sashes
each floor under gauged skewback arches. Horizontal glazing
bars missing to first-floor sashes. Paired modillion eaves
cornice. Low hipped roof. Between these 2 blocks is a C20 door
under a porch hood carried on a single column.
INTERIOR: plain and modernised.
