Substantial early-mid C19 terrace of three-storey houses with basements, growing taller to reach full height at north end where the land falls away. Symmetrical composition with twelve windows at either side of a slightly projecting, five-window, pedimented centre. Red brick with stone cornice and pediment coping, first floor cill band, ground floor band. Basements of squared , cut stone. Slightly gauged brick arches and stone cills to sash windows with glazing bars (some replaced) with wrought iron balconies on first floor. Steps to six-panel doors with patterned oblong fanlights. Wrought iron hand and area railings. Nos 5 and 9 have pedimented classical doorcases, No 7 an early C20 Jacobean doorcase and No 6 a shallow prostyle pedimented porch.
