Circa 1840/50. Large villa of three storeys stucco faced. Low pitch hipped
slate roof with wide eaves. Cornice and frieze to ground and first floors,
plinth. Two windows to second floor: recessed two light casements with
glazing bars, block sills. Three windows to other floors, two in shallow
bow up to second floor to East with terrace above. Sash windows, glazing
bars intact on ground floor, architrave surrounds. Full length on ground
floor the Western one tripartite with Doric pilasters and entablature.
The second floor terrace over bow, and the first floor windows each have
scrolled X iron balconies. The front is flanked up to first floor level, by
short screen walls, with lean-to pitch to coping, containing blind round
headed niches. The East side has a two storeyed wing, built out at the far
end of one blind window, two sash windows to main block. On the ground
floor, this side, a Doric pilastered porch with entablature and blocking
course. Recessed modern glazed door with flight of six steps leading up,
with rendered parapets. vove the porch is a rectangular bay with entabla-
ture and blocking course, of one sash window, recessed in panel, with
glazing bars intact. There is a two storeyed extension to the rear on
the West side.
