House, later public house now wine bar and restaurant. C17
with C19 refronting and 1980s internal remodelling.
Timber-framed stuccoed, with old tiled roof, having modern
ornamental fretted lead ridge. Tall C19 yellow brick
chimneystack with oversailing courses and 2 terracotta pots,
rising from rear slope. 2 storeys. Ground floor late C19,
canted mullion and transom bow windows, surmounted by late C19
tiled fascia, in green and cream tile, with moulded brackets
below and central simplified pediment motif above. 2
triple-light sash windows on first floor.
INTERIOR opened out on ground floor in 1980s. Twin outshots
at rear, timber-framed and plastered with old tiled roofs
giving 'M' gabled configuration. Formerly The Star Public
House.
