C17 or early C18 origin. Altered. Detached cottage. Hammer dressed stone and
rubble. Quoins. Pitched stone and slate roof. Central and gable stack. Two
storeys. South East elevation: Ground floor: former central doorway with deep
millstone grit lintel with chamfered reveals and millstone grit surrounds (part
blocked with later light). One 4-light stone mullioned window (double chamfered);
one single light. First floor: one 2-light stone mullioned window. North East
gable: rubble (formerly internal wall); single light with oak lintel. South West
gable: First floor: one 2-light stone mullioned window; one 4-light stone
mullioned window. North West elevation: Ground floor: back to earth. First
floor: former entrance with stone surrounds and tie-stones.
