Stable building, now a dwelling. Early C19. Limestone rubble
with pantile roof. 2 storeys to the south side, one storey to
the north side in Court Barton. To far right of the Court
Barton facade is a carriage entrance with keystone and c1980
garage doors; to right of centre are 2 small pointed-arch
windows. INTERIOR not inspected.
SUBSIDIARY FEATURES: High limestone rubble wall with Ham Hill
stone coping, attached to north-east corner of the building,
curves to the south and is swept down to meet The Chantry (qv)
and encloses a courtyard entered through a gate with a pointed
arch, facing east. To the right is a similar attached wall
that continues westward for approx 4m, turns northward at a
right angle and attaches to the south of No.5 (qv); in this
stretch is a pointed arch, now filled in.
