LISKEARD

SX2464 DEAN HILL 979-1/5/75 (North side) 23/09/50 Nos.1 AND 2 Bellevue House (1) and Belle Vue (2)

GV II

Two similar attached houses, possibly originally 2 houses flanking a cottage. Early C19. Slatehanging to front and rear; concrete tile roof with 2 rendered end stacks to No.2 and a brick stack over right-hand gable end of No.1, and breasts of 2 rear lateral stacks. Cast-iron ogee gutters with 2 lions' heads. Shallow-depth plan. 2 storeys; overall 7-window range. No.2, on left, has symmetrical 3-window front with C20 windows; blind window over hip-roofed central porch with C20 door on its right; No.1 has symmetrical 3-window front with central doorway with C20 glazed door within porch plus extra bay on the left with tall 1st-floor 12-pane sash over 16-pane sash. These and other windows are original hornless sashes except for C20 window to ground floor right. INTERIOR not inspected.
