2 terraced houses. Early C19 with C20 additions. Gault brick
walls and stacks, slate roof. L shaped plan. 2 storeys. N
front elevation: 5 bays, scored pointing, each house of 2 bays
plus additional bay at E end for passageway to rear. Houses
have central shared stack with adjacent single windows,
doorways in outer bays. Bay units defined by brick pilasters
paired at centre with terracotta moulded capitals. All windows
segment headed with stone sills, sashes with thin glazing
bars, 3x4 panes. Some old glass remains. Additional similar
first floor window in passageway bay. Doorways have
semicircular overlights with ornamental glazing bars. Doors, 4
panels, upper 2 moulded, lower ones flush, bead moulded,
similar doorway and door but with blind overlight to passage.
Round headed bootscrapers to house doors. Rear S elevation:
similar to front but W end has 2 storey C20 rendered, felt
roofed brick addition to final bay. Each house has one ground
and one first floor early C19 segment headed sash window 4x4
panes. No.19 early C19 4 panel door with adjacent cobbled
passageway. 2 C20 single light casement above. No.17 C20
addition has 2 C20 2-light casement window. E face, C20 door
with upper glazed panel, first floor C20 single light casement
window. E end elevation: single first floor segment headed
sash window 3x4 panes.
