Green Lea, Green Croft and
Green Gables

Three houses, formerly one farmhouse, Mid-C18 and early C19. Coursed rubble
limestone with sandstone dressings. Plain tile roof with brick ridge and gable
end stacks. Two storeys with a three storey cross wing at the south end. The
cross wing is the earlier part of the building. East elevation - six bays, left
to right; 2-light square sectioned mullion window with dripmould and similar
window above. Projecting gabled bay with off-centre 3-light mullion window with
centrally placed 2-light window above and similar 2-light above again with
dripmould. To the right, a C20 gabled porch and single light window above with
stone surround. 3-light window to the right with similar 2-light above. Blocked
doorway with stone quoins and lintel, now with a C19 casement window. 2-light
window above. To the right, a later window with 2-light mullion window above.
