House in row, with shop. Mid or late C18 front on C17 fabric.
Flemish bond brickwork front, timber-frame rear wing with
plaster or brick panels, tile roof. A characteristic frontage
with high blocking-course concealing the steep-pitched
transverse roof to C17 parallel plan with a hipped rear
extension, and a long C17 rear wing, with access from the
adjacent alley (under Nos 13 & 14, qv).
3 storeys and attic, 2-windowed. 6-pane sashes under painted
voussoirs and on stone cills, above a C19 pilaster shop front
with C20 window, under a deep fascia with cornice. To the
right a C20 glazed door. Rendered string above first floor,
and brick string above second floor, then very high parapet to
coping. INTERIOR not inspected.
