2/17 The Priory and Monksmead
II
House divided in two. Probably later C16 or early C17 core divided and
remodelled later C19. Timber framed with brick additions pargetted render,
plaintile roof. Main range with 2 crosswings; one gabled, one hipped; two
adjoining gabled porches. 2 storeys and attic. Scattered fenestration of C19
casements with leaded lights. Dormer casements to garden front. Doors late
C19 and C20. Multiple brick stacks on main ridge to rear and externally on
gabled cross wing. Double side purlin roof. Interior of Monksmead not inspected.
