ST 40 SW BURSTOCKS HURSEY

4/83 Hursey House

GV II

Detached House. Early Cl9. Ashlar stone walls with rusticated quoins.
Slate roof with stone gable-copings. Rendered stacks at left and right
hand gables. 2 storeys. 3-windows, sashes with stone cills. Stone
porch at centre with a stone gable-coping and slate roof. Round-
headed entrance with a two-leaf door with flush panels and a wooden
frame. Inner door, glass-panelled with a fanlight over. Round-
headed window on rear wall, upper storey. Interior: Staircase with
mahogany handrail, recess-panelled in below the string. Right ground
floor room: cast-iron grate with neo-classical ornament of recess
flutings and oval paterae with small urn finials. Fireplace reveals
also fluted iron with garlands and rosettes.
