DODDERHILL CP ASTWOOD LANE (south side) SO 96 NW Barn about 40 metres north- 6/6 east of Astwood Manor Farmhouse 15.6.76 II GV

Barn. Early C18, renovated 1763, repaired late C19. Timber-frame on ashlar and brick plinth, weatherboarded, corrugated asbestos roof. Three framed bays, central threshing floor. Framing: single rectangular panels to walls, tension braces; trusses: intermediate: two raking struts; gable: three queen struts to collar, V-struts in apex. Wrought iron weathervane to south gable with cardinal points, vane pierced "1763".
