House, now a P.H. C16-C17 incorporating C15 cross wing, C18 rear additions and inserted floor, C19 front addition to cross wing. T-plan hall-house facing E with cross wing at N. 2 storeys and 3 windows. Timber framed with plaster pargetting. Steep old red tiled roof, half-hipped at S and extended at rear over lean-to addition and staircase. Cross wing half-hipped with gablet at W but now gabled to front. Panelled pargetting to upper floor with central oval and painted date '1595'. N side has fan pargetting. Single storey C18 brick and tile gabled rear addition at SW with floor below Ground level used as a cellar. Ground floor now faced in painted brickwork with dark plinth. Single storey C19 painted brick addition with steep tiled roof and gable to road, built against front of cross wing. Large central chimney one third from S end probably C17. C18 lateral fireplace to room to right of central door. Central beam in cross wing has mortices of former partition on Ground floor. The front has 3-light C19 casement windows, with segmental heads to Ground floor. Modern door and small enclosed porch. 2-light casements to front addition with 3-light oriel also on E. Roof of cross wing has collar-and-rafter roof without longitudinal members. Clasped purlin roof to main range. Chamfer marks doorhead into cross wing from room on right of entrance. S room at lower level, and party wall at S in English bond exposed. Internal partitions have largely been removed on Ground floor.
