Farmhouse. Probably mid-C18 with partial remodelling of c1840; minor later
additions and alterations. Roughly coursed slate-stone with granite quoins
and C19 brown brick window heads, some with keystones; slate roof, hipped
to right end of right section. 2 sections, shorter right part at oblique
angle to main range with through-passage to left at junction with main range.
2 storeys. Main range has 3 segmental-headed 16-paned horned glazing bar
sashes to first floor. Ground floor has 2-light multi-paned C19 casement
to left, small 8-paned glazing bar sash to left of centre and 5-light multi-paned
casement to right, all with segmental heads. Right range has segmental-headed
16-paned horned glazing bar sash on each floor to centre. C19 gabled brick
porch over 4-paned door with rectangular barred overlight to left. Integral
end stack with drips to left of main range and extruded lateral stack, also
with drips, to rear on right. Prominent stepped lateral stack to rear on
right of right range. Gabled staircase projection to rear with partly infilled
window has C19 lean-tos to either side.
Interior; Much altered C19 and to a lesser extent C20 with infilled inglenook
fireplaces.
