Town house with later shop. Early C19. Ashlar with granite
dressings including segmental arches and mid-floor string;
slate roof with projecting front eaves; shared brick stack on
left; cast-iron ogee gutter. Deep plan including rear wing at
right-angles, originally probably part of a larger house plan
including No.16 (qv) but rebuilt early C19 as 2 houses. 3
storeys; 2-window range. Original 12-pane hornless sashes
except for probably slightly later small-paned slightly-bowed
oriel, with moulded cornice and sidelights, to 1st-floor
right. Whole front framed by granite rustications to ground
floor as plinths to former probable giant pilasters now
rendered areas. Mid C20 shop front. INTERIOR not inspected.
