GV II

House, now restaurant. Early to mid C18, part possibly
earlier. Painted brick with some timber frame; tile roof with
large brick stack to front of ridge. L-plan. 2 storeys;
2-window range. Plaster plinth and top modillioned brick
cornice. Entrance to each end has plank door. Ground floor
windows have 3-light casements, small-paned to left window;
1st floor has windows with 2-light and 3-light small-paned
casements, that with 3-lights has iron opening casement. Left
return to Backcester Lane has exposed timber framing above
ground floor and two C20 casements. Lower rear wing has 2
later additions; right end has triangular-headed entrance;
varied casements.
