GV II

House, now shop and flat. Mid to late C17 with later
alterations. Brick with stuccoed facade, internal
timber-framing; tile roof with brick stack to rear of ridge.
Double-depth plan. 2 storeys with attic; 3-window range. 2
stucco platt bands. Entrance has architrave and bracketed
pediment, half-glazed door; round-headed entry to right end
has glazed door and recessed 6-flush-panel door. Ground floor
has large bow window to left with panelled pilasters, frieze
and cornice, and small-paned glazing; fixed plate-glass window
to right; 1st floor has windows with sills and 16-pane sashes
flanking blind window; attic has 3 gabled dormers with 2-light
small-paned casements. Rear has 3 gables with exposed timber
framing, 2 pegged cross-casements and 2 stair windows of 2
lights, all pegged, some casements to attic have iron opening
casements.
INTERIOR: ground floor has chamfered beams; 1st floor has
ovolo-moulded beams and doors of 3 wide planks; 1st-floor
stair has turned balusters, square newels with ball finials
and moulded handrail; attic has some exposed timber-framing.
