of Old Church of St.
Mary

Inscribed tablet. Dated 1745. Stone slab inscribed: "This
table was erected in the year 1745. A list of the pious and
charitable benefactors to the Church, School and Poor of the
Parish of Mirfield.
L.20 (Donor unknown) left to ye Poor in Money.
Nath.l. Waterhouse left L1 per Ann to ye Poor, paid by proper
Trustees.
Ricd Thorpe Gent left L5-10 per an to the School paid out of
Runder Farm.
Joseph Ledgard left L2 per an to the School, paid out of Barker's
Farm. Also L2 per an to ye Poor, paid out of Shitter Nabs.
Ricd. Beaumont Esq. late of Whitley Hall left L10 per an to put out
two poor, Boys apprentices paid in Money.
Robt. Holdsworth left L5 per an to the Vicar, Clerk and Poor, paid
out of Brickhouse & Lands.
Thos. Holdsworth left S10 per an to the School paid out of Well-house
and Lands.
James Shepley left L4 per an to the Poor, paid out of Dead Eyes,
Wheat Croft, & c.
Mrs. Mary Hutton left L2 per an to the poor, paid out of Hanbank
Farm.
Ricd. Northorp left L10 to ye Poor for ever, paid in Money.
Lady Eliz. Hastings left L2 for a monthly Sacrement, to be paid to
the Vicar of this Church every Christmas.
