Estate cottage. Early/mid C19. Grey limestone rubble with red brick dressings ;
slate roof, gabled at ends ; end stacks.
Plan: Single depth 2 room plan cottage with a central entrance, weatherboarded
outbuilding adjoins at left end.
Exterior: 2 storeys. Symmetrical 3-bay front with a central plank front door with a
rectangular fanlight with small panes ; C19 2-light small-pane casements to left and
right with brick jambs and segmental brick arches, centre 2-light small pane window
above front door. The adjoining outbuilding has a red tiled roof.
Interior: Plain.
Forms an attractive group of estate cottages with Nos. 2 and 3 (q.v.).
