Swithland slate headstone by the hand of a local craftsman based within the Vale of Belvoir. A heart with Be ye ready between two winged angels heads. Relief carved lettering with ligatures. The serifs of the poem below are decorated with gyres. Here lyeth the Body of Anne Daughter of Robert Barsby by Mary his Wife who died July the 31 1733 Her Age 15 year. A virgin fair just (in her eg very prime )/ Lies here in(terred before her time )/ Of ( )/ ( ) (submerged). (Photo Sept 2015).
