House. Initialled and dated " E. S. I. S. . Hammer-dressed stone,
1669. I. H. "
dressed quoins, stone slate roof. 2 storeys. 3-cell, baffle-entry
plan. All are double-chamfered mullioned windows mostly retaining
mullions. 1st cell has 2-light window to each floor. 2nd cell
(housebody) has 5-light window with 4-light above; doorway with
chamfered surround has dated lintel partly obscured by added midC20
gabled porch, inserted window above. 3rd cell has 4-light window
to each floor. Coped gables with kneelers. That to right has stack,
one other stack to ridge. Right-hand return wall has former 2-light
window (now doorway) with 4-light window above. Set in apex is double
cross of the Knights Templars.
Interior: housebody has stop-chamfered spine beams carried on original
bressumer which is supported by stone heck-screen.
