Tower, formerly part of a wing of Greystoke Castle. 1789 for the 11th Duke of
Norfolk. Coursed pink sandstone rubble with string courses, eaves modillions,
battlemented parapet and raised quoins, on chamfered plinth. 4-storey
heptagonal tower, now merely a shell without floors or roof. Pointed-arched
doorway. Various rectangular, round and segmental openings, some of them blind,
and 2 upper-floor clock faces. The ground floor was formerly the Brew House,
under the upstairs-maids' dining room. Listed for group value with Greystoke
Castle.
