Farmhouse. Remains of circa mid C16 central range. Flanking wings circa early C18. Partly remodelled in late C18. Rubblestone slate hung on east front with slate hanging removed on right-hand side. Cement washed scantle slate roof to east wing with gabled ends. Corrugated and cement washed scantle slate roof to west wing with hipped end. Central range with asbestos slate roof on south slope. Large slate hung rubble stone hall stack with brick shaft to left of central range. Projecting slate- hung rubblestone stacks with rendered brick shafts on gable ends on east wing. 'U' shaped courtyard plan. Remains of hall room of circa late C16 house in central range. Staircase projection to rear. Dairy in projecting wing on west, extended to south with apple chamber. East wing remodelled and reorientated to form front of house. Single depth plan, 2 rooms with cross passage and staircase to rear. 2 storeys. 3 window symmetrical east front. Ground floor with 2 late C19/C20 3-light casements flanking partly glazed C20 door with sloping hood above. 3 late C19 4-pane sashes above. Interior; central hall fireplace with large cambered chamfered timber lintel continuing full depth of room on north. Later fireplace, boiler and oven inserted. On north wall doorcase to staircase projection. Timber shouldered arch circa 1550. Wide planked door with strap hinges. Stone winder staircase. In later wing on east, several C18 2 and 4 fielded panelled doors with H L hinges. Framed imperial stair in east wing. Circa C18 roof timbers above central hall. Domesday manor held prior to 1066 by Alfheah. After by Iovin. In possession of Sir Robert Tresilian, chief justice of the King's Bench. Then granted by Richard II to John Hawley of Dartmouth, whose daughter carried it in marriage to the Coplestones. Possibly sold by John Coplestone with 12 other manors in Cornwall to procure royal pardon. Pardon dated 4 Elizabeth, August 20, 1561. Lametton was chief seat of Coplestones in Cornwall. Temp. James I belonged to Harrises of Mount Radford in Devon. Passed by marriage to Rashleighs of Menabilly. J. Polsue Lake's Parochial History of Cornwall. 1867-73 rp 1874
