GV II

Boathouse. Mid-late C19, incorporating earlier features; C20 repairs. Slatestone
rubble with granite quoins and dressings. 2-span thatched roof with gable ends.
Plan: Rectangular boathouse with left gable end facing the slipway to the River
Tiddy.
Exterior: Single storey, with porch to front and rear. Front has central blind
doorway with re-used hollow-chamfered granite doorframe, with rounded head; thatched
porch, gabled, on wooden piers. Blocked ventilation slit to right and left. Left
end has double doorway with granite lintel. Right end has central doorway with re-
used granite doorway, with 4-centred arch, chamfered, with C20 door with cover
strips. Rear has blind central doorway with re-used granite doorway with 4-centred
arch, thatched gabled porch; blocked ventilation slit to right and left.
