SJ 55 NE BUNBURY C.P. BOWE'S GATE ROAD

2/18 Little Orchard

GV II

Private house, late C17 but of early C19 appearance. Whitened brick
with tiled roof, 2 storeys and attic, 2 bays. Later additions at rear
(north). 3-light flush casements with glazing bars and cambered arches
at ground floor level. 4-panel half glazed door with wide external
casing, external lining with architraves and flat door hood surmounted
by arched recess which rises to eaves level. Dentil treatment at
eaves. Modern mid-slope dormer. Gable end stacks. Light timber
framing visible in east gable and rear (north-east) corner.
Interior: Bevelled beams, exposed ceiling joists, inglenook and
timbers in internal walls. Said to have been the original Dysart
Arms.
