1/16 Park House Lodge

GV II

Inner park lodge, on north approach to the Castle. Early C19,
whitened brickwork with slate roof. 2-storey, single bay gable-facade
with single storey, single-bay added entrance and single-bay return.
The gable-end has small canted bay window with cast-iron lattice
casements and roof with lead-roll hips. The first floor window is
2-light lozenge casement with stone sill and stepped hoodmould. The
door, in the hipped lean-to (east), is of three vertical panels in
heavy frame with hoodmould above. The gable is an open pediment with
wide soffite, shaped purlin-ends and finial. The west return has a
lozenge window stone sill and hoodmould at ground floor level but the
one above has been partly altered to a wood casement with glazing
bars. Central ridge stack with divided flues joined at ridge and cap.
