Milestone. Late C18/early C19. Portland stone. Square stone pillar with applied cast-iron plate which reads '65 miles from London 13 from Petersfield 1 to Portsmouth'. Iron plate replaces original worn inscription on stone. (Berridge DW: Monuments and Memorials in the City of Portsmouth: 1984-: 35).
