House. Late C16 remodelled in early C19. Timberframed plastered
with steep thatched hipped roof. A 2-storeys house facing N.
Early C19 symmetrical red brick front with black headers,
dentilled eaves cornice, dentilled floor band. Segmental arches
to lower windows and blind recess over central door, wooden
lintols exposed over upper windows, and round headed central
doorway. Small paned Yorkshire sliding sashes on both floors.
4-panel door flush-beaded with blind tympanum over. Large
central chimney in red brick with 4 flues. Lean-to at rear with
stair under catslide thatched roof. Plinth plastered.
Weatherboarded apron at rear. (Matthews (1989) 55-6, 73).
