House. Early C17, altered C20. Timber framed with mixed wattle and daub or later clay lump infill. Pantiled roof. Refronted in yellow brick in 1920's. Late C20 gabled porch, all windows and details in 2 storey facade late C20. Rear elevation of one storey with 2 2-storey gabled cross wings, the central one originally privy tower. Gaps between wings filled C18 under catslide roofs. All windows and details late C20. One 4-light diamond mullion window remains on first floor.
Interior with tongue stopped bridging beams. Roll moulded re-used joists in lounge. Re-used bridging beam in study with 5 rolls. Tie beams in roof largely relocated. Staggered butt purlins although north wing with butt purlins including one reused moulded purlin.
