Circa 1840, a pair of semi-detached 2 storey stucco villas of 3 bays each,
designed as a symmetrical composition under one hipped slate roof. Flanking
and central corniced stucco chimneys. Plinth; ground floor chanelled up
to first floor sill band; bed mould to flat eaves. Architrave framed glazing
bar sashes on first floor. Ground floor of No 140 retains unaltered glazing
bar sashes with cornices on consoles. No 142 has later C19 insertion of
canted, corniced bay windows. The doorways, contained in round headed architrave
surrounds, have Soanian incised panelled pilasters, incised door head panels
and thin cornices with the fanlights set above. No 142 has coach house doors
set in screen wall to right with cornice and blocking course, the later raised
in centre with panel inscribed "Wilton House".
