Club premises. 1875. H.H. Vale. Brick with stone dressings, slate roof. Asymmetrical elevation. Two storeys with attic, ten bays. Two bays at each end recessed, projecting bays flank four-bay centre. First two bays have C19 shop front. Projecting bays have entrances with pointed arches on granite shafts, and gables. Central bays have two- light mullioned windows. End two bays have pointed entrance and window, both cut by C20 canopy. Arcaded frieze over ground floor with lettering, "THE LIVERPOOL YOUNG MEN'S CHRISTIAN ASSOCIATION" first floor two-light windows, those to centre with pointed heads and plate tracery. Second floor end bays with pointed heads and plate tracery. Second floor end bays have pointed windows with plate tracery and gables. Left entrance bay has tower with three lancets, diaper work, and tourelle to left; pavilion roof with dormer and iron cresting. Central bays have steep roof and dormer. Right entrance bay has gable with round window. Three brick stacks with stone caps.
