Extends from south-east pavilion of Shipton Court (qv) to the south boundary wall
(qv Plum Lane).
Terrace wall. Circa 1903-06 probably by Bulmer and Perkins. Retaining wall to
terrace garden extending to south of Shipton Court (qv). Rubble with triangular
weepers, lean-to buttresses capped by ball finials. Two flights of outward-sweeping
steps with iron finials to lower piers; the northern flight links with the swimming
pool (qv). Part of the beautifully landscaped grounds of Shipton Court; the
Jacobean terracing was restored in the early C20.
