--6a- Classical, with fine details including a semi-circular panel with anchor and cross. These are flanked by an orb girdled by a tail - biting snake -Life how short, eternity how long- and a skull and crossbones -Memento mori-. To John Sumner son of John and Mary Sumner d. Feb 6th 1806 aet 31. -Just like the morning bud I did begin to shine / But blasted in my bloom so fast I did decline / My time it was but short I could no longer stay / Death summoned me to go I could not say him nay / farewell my parents dear so tender and so kind / Farewell companions all that I have left behind / Weep not my parents dear nor in the least complain / For your great loss no doubt is my eternal gain-.
