(3). One of the Belvoir Angels headstones by a local craftsman. Small, simple with two round-faced winged angels. To Ann wife of William Roe d. July 4th 1751 aet 55. Also John Kirkby d. Aug 11th 1752 aet 28. -O cruall death that could so crual be / To take the fruit and then cut down the tree / Hard- hearted death thou was that would not spare / A kind and loving Wife and Mother dear / Tho long he lay it all was for his gain / That he a heavenly kingdom might obtain / With conscience pure I hope to see Gods face / And rise again to glorifie his grace-.
