Wall with railings, gate piers and gates, to former board school. Probably 1884. By Richard Adams. Low brick wall with stone coping, elaborate cast-iron railings: moulded standards with knob finials and scrolled supports, rails with alternate flower and bud finials. Similar design to the two-leaf gates, with scrollwork to lock rail and above, one gate damaged. Gatepiers: octagonal plinth and shaft with narrowed neck below capstone with carved flower frieze and domed top with knob finials. Approximately 50m long overall.
INTERIOR: not inspected.
A remnant of the fine workmanship typical of the Leeds Board Schools. Included for group value.
