Terrace of 4 houses. c1860. Coursed squared gritstone and
ashlar, slate roof, stone gable copings. 2 storeys, 5 bays
with 2:2:4:2:2 first-floor windows. Tudor style. Symmetrical
facade with paired gables projecting to right and left of
centre. Doorways with rectangular overlights and stone
cornices on console brackets. Full-height glazed casement
windows to ground floor, 2-light casements, chamfered reveals
and dripmoulds. Embattled eaves parapets, missing gable
finials, stone corniced stacks.
INTERIOR: No.12, formerly 2 flats, now in single ownership and
partitions removed, original doorways and straight-flight
stairs with turned balusters restored.
Similar style to Nos 23-29 Shaw Lane (qv); neither row is
shown on the 1850 OS map.
