Terrace of 7 houses with wall and gate piers fronting Nos 1-5.
c1860, altered C20. Of 2 builds, Nos 1-5 & 6-7. Coursed
squared gritstone, slate roofs.
2-storey, double-fronted houses with central entrances.
Doorways have deep cornices on console brackets. Flanking and
1st-floor sash windows, frames replaced, originally sashes
with glazing bars, stone sills and lintels. Stone plaque at
left end, 1st floor, with incised name 'CLAREMOUNT'. Large
square corniced ridge stacks at each end and between
properties. Nos 6 & 7 break forward.
INTERIOR: not inspected.
Boundary wall to W end and S side of gardens to Nos 1-5:
approx 1m high, overall length approx 50m, rounded copings;
each house has a pair of gate piers with cavetto-moulded
capstones.
